About David Dick

David Dick founded Metroplex Aviation in 1985 specializing in personal and corporate aircraft sales, aircraft buyers’ representation, appraisal, aviation consulting and aircraft management.

David began selling airplanes at a used aircraft dealership in Dallas in 1973 and then subsequently sold new airplanes at Beechcraft, Piper and Cessna dealerships. He also served during his long career as an FBO Operations Manager, Charter pilot and Chief Pilot/FAR-135, Flight Instructor & Chief Instructor/FAR-141 and has managed piston engine and turboprop aircraft for several clients. He also served as a contract pilot in the Cessna T210, Cessna 414 & 421, Beech 58TC & Duke, King Air E-90 & 200, Lear 55 and the Challenger 600 & 601.

He holds the Airline Transport Pilot certificate with Challenger type rating, Flight Instructor Certificate, Airplanes, Instrument and Multiengine and has accumulated over 7,000 hours in a wide variety of makes and models. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Dallas.
